VISA PROCESSING TIME

Visa processing takes at least 24 hours provided all requirements are complete.

v Note:

Yellow fever immunization is recommended and have your certificate upon your arrival in Ethiopia.
Upon arrival at the airport you must declare any foreign currency to the customs authority.

Working Hours For Embassy of Ethiopia Consular Office is :
9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday to Friday

Under the following circumstances tourist visas can be issued on arrival at Bole International Airport:

I. For foreign nationals who are coming from countries where there is no Ethiopian Mission,

II For foreign nationals, even though there is an Ethiopian Mission, who are coming from internationally recognized tourist-generating countries (See if your Country is listed) of which the list is attached with this directive and who are permanent residents in these countries, single or multiple tourist visas valid upto 3 months can be issued
