Adwa is a symbol of Africa’s victory: Uhuru Kenyatta (March 04, 2019)

Addis Ababa, March 2, 2019 – Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed said the victory of Adwa is a foundation for “our continued triumph against any odds.”
The Prime Minister made the remark from Arbaminch, SNNP regional state, where he is currently visiting various development projects along with the visiting Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to the Prime Minister office’s Twitter post, the Gamo elders gave their blessings, bestowing the two leaders with gifts symbolic of the culture of the Gamo people.
President Kenyatta also shared that Adwa is a symbol of Africa’s victory.
The 123rd anniversary of Ethiopia’s victory of Adwa is being celebrated across the country.
