⚠️ NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS REQUESTING POWER OF ATTORNEY SERVICE

Dear Valued Customers,

The Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia would like to inform all individuals seeking Power of Attorney (PoA) services in person to carefully follow the instructions below before visiting the Embassy:

📝 Step 1: Complete the Online Background Form

Before coming to the Embassy, the principal (the person granting the power) must fill out the required background information using the following link:
👉 https://consular.ethiopianembassy.org/public/POA

After submission, a Reference Number will be generated. This number must be presented at the time of service.

📌 Step 2: Appear in Person with the Following:

Please bring the following documents with you to the Embassy:

  • The Reference Number from the online form
  • A valid Ethiopian Passport or Ethiopian Origin ID (Yellow Card)

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • If the Power of Attorney is for property-related matters, U.S. citizens must hold an Ethiopian Origin ID in order to receive the service.
  • Non-property-related Power of Attorney can be granted to U.S. citizens even without Ethiopian Origin ID, subject to the applicable fee.
