Ethiopia Registers Three More COVID-19 Cases (April 13, 2020)

Ethiopia has announced three new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), taking its total to 74.

Dr Lia Tadesse, Minister of Health, the three cases are out of the 247 samples tasted over the past 24 hours.

All the three cases are Ethiopians with no travel history abroad, she said.

Four more people have also recovered from the virus, bringing the total recoveries to 14, the Minister added.

The country has so far reported three deaths from the virus.

According to the latest figures from Johns Hopkins University, more than 1.8 million cases of coronavirus have been registered globally.

More than 114,000 people have died and more than 429,000 have recovered from the virus.
