Ethiopia Reports Third Death from COVID-19 (April 10, 2020)

A third patient has died in Ethiopia from coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, said the Ministry of Health.

According to Lia Tadesse, Minister of Health, the person who died today was a 65-year-old woman from Dukem town, Oromia regional state.

She was admitted to a treatment centre on April 6, after testing positive for COVID-19 the same day.

As of today, Ethiopia has registered a total of 65 cases, with three deaths and four recoveries.

According to the latest figures from Johns Hopkins University, more than 1.6 million cases of coronavirus have been registered globally.

More than 97,000 people have died and more than 365,000 have recovered from the virus.
