በአሜሪካ የኢ.ፌ.ዲ.ሪ. ልዩ መልዕክተኛና ባለሙሉ ስልጣን አምባሳደር ብናልፍ አንዱአለም በአሜሪካ በተለያዩ ስቴቶች ከሚኖሩ የዳያስፖራ አደረጃጀት፣ ተጽዕኖ ፈጣሪ ግለሰቦችና በውሃ ዙሪያ የሚሰሩ ተቋማት አደረጃጀቶች አመራርና አባላት ጋር በታላቁ የኢትዮጵያ ህዳሴ ግድብ ዙሪያ ውይይት አካሂደዋል፡፡

ክቡር አምባሳደር ብናልፍ አንዱአለም ባደረጉት የመክፈቻ ንግግር የህዳሴ ግድብ በተለያየ ፈተና ውስጥ አልፎ ዛሬ እዚህ በመድረሱ እንኳን ደስ ያላችሁ መልዕክት በማስተላለፍ ይህ ፕሮጀክት የኢትየጵያን የመበልጸግ ፍላጎት እውን ከሚያደርጉ የልማት ፕሮጀክቶች አንዱ በመሆኑ የቀረውን ሁለት በመቶ ለማጠናቀቅ እንደዚህ ቀደሙ አሻራችንን ለማስቀመጥ ርብርብ ማድረግ እንደሚያስፈልግ ገልጸዋል፡፡

አክለውም አገራችን እንድትበለጽግና ብሔራዊ ጥቅሟ እንዲረጋገጥ እጅ ለእጅ ተያይዘን መስራት እንደሚያስፈልግ ለዲያስፖራው ማህበረሰብ ጥሪ አስተላልፈዋል፡፡

የታላቁ የኢትዮጵያ ህዳሴ ግድብ ግንባታ ፕሮጀክት ዋና ስራ አስኪያጅ የሆኑት ኢንጅነር ክፍሌ ሆሮ ግድቡ አሁን የደረሰበትን 98 በመቶ ለመድረስ ያለፈውን በጎ አጋጣሚና ተግዳሮቶች ላይ ሰፋ ያለ ገለፃ አድርገዋል፡፡

ገለጻውን መነሻ በማድረግ ከዳያስፖራው ለተሰጡ አስተያየቶችና ጥያቄዎች ምላሽ የተሰጠ ሲሆን ዳያስፖራው ግድቡ እስኪጠናቀቅ ድረስ አስፈላጊውን ድጋፍ እንደሚያደርጉ ቃል ገብተዋል፡፡

ለግድቡ ማጠናቀቂያ የመጨረሻ ዙር ገንዘብ ማሰባሰብ ከተጀመረ ጀምሮ 28,338 የአሜሪካ ዶላር እንዲሁም ቅዳሜ ሜይ 10/2025 በተካሄደው ገቢ ማሰባሰቢያ መድረክ 4760 ዶላር በድምሩ 33,098 ገቢ የተደረገ ሲሆን 21,810 ዶላር በእለቱ ቃል ተገብቷል፡፡

ክቡር አምባሳደር ብናልፍ አንዱአለም የአሜሪካን የውጭ ጉዳይ ሚኒስትር ማርኮ ሩቢዮ የአሜሪካን የውጭ ግንኙነት ፖሊሲ ላይ ገለጻ ለመስጠት እ.ኤ.አ. ሜይ 8 ቀን 2025 በጠሩት መድረክ ላይ ተሳትፎ አድርገዋል። በወቅቱም ክቡር አምባሳደሩ ከአሜሪካን ምክትል የውጭ ጉዳይ ሚኒስትር ክሪስቶፈር ላንዳኡ ጋር በሁለቱ ሀገራት ግንኙነት ዙሪያ ሀሳብ ተለዋውጠዋል። ምክትል የውጭ ጉዳይ ሚኒስትሩ በኢትዮጵያ እየታየ ላለው አጠቃላይ ለውጥ እውቅና የሰጡ ሲሆን፣ በትብብር ለመስራት ያላቸውን ቁርጠኝነት ገልፀዋል። ክቡር አምባሳደሩ በበኩላቸው የኢትዮጵያና የአሜሪካ ግንኙነት ያለበትን ሁኔታ አስመልክቶ ከምክትል የውጭ ጉዳይ ሚኒስትሩ ጋር የተለዋወጧቸው ሀሳቦች በቀጣይ በተደራጀ መልኩ ለሚደረጉ መስተጋብሮች አጋዥ እንደሚሆኑ ያላቸውን እምነት ገልፀዋል።

H.E. Ambassador Binalf Andualem took part in an event organized by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio for a briefing on the current State of the Administration on May 8, 2025. During the event, Ambassador Binalef met with Christopher Landau, the Deputy Secretary of State of the U.S., and they exchanged ideas. The Deputy Secretary acknowledged the overall improvements in Ethiopia and expressed commitment to working together. Ambassador Binalf conveyed his confidence that their discussion on the state of the relationship between Ethiopia and the United States will serve as a foundation for future structured engagements

እ.ኤ.አ. ሜይ 3 ቀን 2025 የጋምቤላ ክልል ርዕሰ መስተዳድር ወ/ሮ አለሚቱ ኡመድ በአሜሪካ ሜኔሶታ ግዛት ነዋሪ ከሆኑ የክልሉ ተወላጅ ኢትዮጵያውያን እና ትውልድ ኢትዮጵያውያን ጋር በክልሉ እየተካሄደ ባለው የልማት ስራዎች እና ወቅታዊ ጉዳዮች ዙሪያ ውይይት አደረጉ።

ርዕሰ መስተዳድሯ በክልሉ ስላለው ወቅታዊ ሁኔታ እና እየተካሄደ ስላለው የልማት እንቅስቃሴ እንዲሁም ከዳያስፖራው ምን እንደሚጠበቅ ንግግር ያደረጉ ሲሆን በክልሉ ያለው የሰላም ሁኔታ በእጅጉ የተሻለ መሆኑን ገልጸዋል። ይህ የተሻለ ሁኔታም የክልሉን ልማት ለማፋጠን እና ኢንቨስትመንትን ለማሳደግ መሰረት እንደሆነ ተናግረዋል። ከዚህ አንጻር ዳያስፖራው በክልሉ እየተካሄደ ያለውን ልማት መደገፍ እንደሚገባው እና በኢንቨስትመንትም መሳተፍ እንዳለበት ተናግረዋል።

በአሜሪካ የኢትዮጵያ ልዩ መልዕክተኛ እና ባለሙሉ ሥልጣን አምባሳደር ብናልፍ አንዱአለም በተወካያቸው አቶ ተራመድ አዳነ አማካኝነት መልዕክት ያስተላለፉ ሲሆን ኢትዮጵያውያን እና ትውልድ ኢትዮጵያውያን ስለክልላቸው ብሎም ስለሀገራቸው ትክክለኛ መረጃዎችን በማግኘት እየተካሄደ ባለው የልማት እንቅስቃሴ ላይ የራሳቸውን አሻራ ለማሳረፍ እንዲህ አይነት መድረክ ከፍተኛ አስተዋጽኦ ያለው መሆኑን ጠቅሰው ታላቁ የኢትዮጵያ ህዳሴ ግንባታ ከ98 በመቶ በላይ መጠናቀቁን፤ በዚህም ሂደት በአሜሪካ የሚኖሩ ኢትዮጵያውያን እና ትውልድ ኢትዮጵያውያን ያደረጉት ተሳትፎ ትልቅ ግምት የሚሰጠው ነው ካሉ በኋላ በዚህ ረገድ የጋምቤላ ኮሚኒቲ አደረጃጀት ተሳትፎ ከፍተኛ እንደነበረ በመጥቀስ በቀጣይ ግድቡ ተጠናቆ ሪቫን እስክንቆርጥ ድረስ የሚቻላቸውን ሁሉ እንዲያደርጉ ጥሪ አቅርበዋል።

በውይይቱ ከተሳታፊዎች ለተነሱ ጥያቄዎች የክልሉ ርዕሰ መስተዳድር በቂ ምላሽ እና ማብራሪያ የሰጡ ሲሆን ዳያስፖራው በክልሉ ለተጀመሩ የልማት ስራዎች ድጋፉን አጠናክሮ እንዲቀጥል አሳስበዋል።

አምባሳደር ብናልፍ አንዱአለም በአሜሪካ ሴኔት የውጭ ግንኙነት ኮሚቴ የአፍሪካ ንዑስ ኮሚቴ ሰብሳቢ ከሆኑት ሴናተር ቴድ ክሩዝ ጋር ተገናኝተው ተነጋገሩ። ክቡር አምባሳደሩ ከሴናተሩ ጋር ሲገናኙ ይህ ለሁለተኛ ጊዜ ሲሆን በዚህ ውይይታቸውም በአፍሪካ ንኡስ ኮሚቴ ሥራ እንዲሁም ንኡስ ኮሚቴው አሜሪካ ከአፍሪካ ጋር ያላትን ግንኙነት ከማሳደግ አንጻር ባለው ሚና ላይ ተወያይተዋል። ሁለቱም ወገኖች በዩናይትድ ስቴትስ እና በኢትዮጵያ መካከል ያለውን የሁለትዮሽ ግንኙነት ለማጠናከር የበለጠ ተቀራርበው ለመስራት ከፍተኛ ፍላጎት እንዳላቸው ገልጸዋል። ውይይታቸውም በዋና ዋና የጋራ ጉዳዮች እና በተለያዩ ዘርፎች ትብብርን ለማሳደግ በሚያስችሉ ጉዳዮች ዙሪያ ያተኮረ ነበር።

Ambassador Binalef Andualem met with Senator Ted Cruz, who chairs the Africa subcommittee of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. This meeting, their second, underscored a commitment to ongoing communication. They exchanged views on the work of the Africa subcommittee and its role in enhancing U.S.-Africa relations. Both parties expressed a strong desire to collaborate more closely to strengthen the bilateral relationship between the United States and Ethiopia. Their discussions focused on key areas of mutual interest and the potential for increased cooperation across various sectors.

Today is a day of great pride for Ethiopians as we celebrate the official handover of “Tsehay” by the Italian Government. I extend my immense gratitude to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for her support over the past year in facilitating its return.

“Tsehay” is the first aircraft built in Ethiopia in 1935, under the collaborative efforts of the German engineer and pilot of the emperor, Herr Ludwig Weber, and Ethiopian individuals of that era.

PM Abiy Ahmed has joined other African leaders at the Italy-Africa Summit hosted by Italian PM Giorgia Meloni. The summit is being held under the theme ‘a bridge for a common growth’. During the summit, Italy’s proposed ‘Mattei Plan’ for Africa will be discussed.

In a ceremony hosted by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in Rome, Italy, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has been awarded the prestigious FAO Agricola Medal, according to the organization, for his vision, leadership and commitment to food security and nutrition as well as the pursuit of innovative solutions in wheat self-sufficiency in the context of fast-changing and challenging circumstances.

The Prime Minister received the Agricola Medal in the presence of high-level delegates of various countries, representatives of international organizations, diplomatic missions in Italy and private sector representatives.
For the past five years, Ethiopia has been making critical investments in the agricultural sector and pursuing wheat self sufficiency endeavors marking significant growth across major commodities.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, H.E. Demeke Mokonnen, today met with the UNICEF Regional Director for Eastern and Southern Africa, Etleva Kadilli.
During the meeting, Mr. Demeke appreciated UNICEF’s continued support of humanitarian assistance programs, particularly for vulnerable children.
He requested that UNICEF scale up its support for the populations affected by conflict and climate change.

UNICEF Regional Director for Eastern and Southern Africa, Etleva Kadilli, said currently, UNICEF is working in Ethiopia to provide humanitarian assistance to conflict and disaster-affected children.
She requested that the government of Ethiopia provide support to reach children who are living in remote areas.
UNICEF is one of the leading development actors among the UN agencies working on humanitarian response efforts in Ethiopia.

It has been stated that the Diplomatic Exhibition has made it possible to show Ethiopia’s centuries-old diplomatic journey and gain global support.
In a press statement given to journalists today, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Meles Alem, said that thousands of officials and workers from 126 institutions, in addition to citizens and foreigners, attended the Diplomacy Exhibition being held at the Science Museum.
About 700 diplomats based in Addis Ababa, and 152 journalists and photographers from the federal, state and city administrations, government and private media houses also covered the exhibition, said the Spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Meles.
He explained that the second generation Ethiopians who came home at the invitation of H.E. Prime Minister, Dr. Abiy Ahmed, made the visit and expressed their support for their country.
The ambassador also mentioned about the two books that are published by the Ministry and their significance in preserving the memory of the institution and the general diplomatic history of the country.”
Concurrently, Ambassador Dr. Meles Alem, stated that ambassadors and mission leaders of Ethiopian embassies are having all rounded discussions on ways of further protecting the national interests of the country.
The ambassadors are expected to make a field visit in addition to the discussion that focuses on political, economic and social; regional, continental and global issues in the forum that lasted more than a week now.
On the other hand, the necessary preparations are being made for the 37th African Union summit, which will be held from February 17 to 18, 2024.

During today’s session of the Annual Ethiopian Ambassadors Retreat, various papers highlighting manifold regional and geopolitical shifts and issues of peace, security and development were presented by heads of missions, director generals, veteran diplomats as well as senior researchers from the Institute of Foreign Affairs.
Foreign Policy Advisor to H.E. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Minister, H.E. Ambassador Taye Atske-Selassie also briefed the envoys on the need to protect the national interests of Ethiopia with a better understanding of the global situation and to foster foreign relations predicated on forging consensus, friendship, cooperation and diversification of partnerships.

Diplomacy is a multi-stakeholder endeavour that requires seamless synergy and cooperation among key stakeholders to achieve key foreign policy priorities, Ambassador Taye stated.
In his concluding remarks, State Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Ambassador Mesganu Arga said, Ethiopia’s diplomats together with partners should champion an assertive diplomatic posture and heads of missions overseas ought to discharge their leadership duties in manner that is cognizant of major geopolitical dynamics.
Multiplying partnerships and alliances should also be the hallmark of Ethiopia’s foreign relations that is geared towards protecting and promoting our national interests, the State Minister stressed.
