የኢትዮጵያ ኤምባሲ ከኢቨንትስ ዲሲ ጋር ውይይት አደረገ

በአሜሪካ የኢ.ፌ.ዲ.ሪ. ልዩ መልዕክተኛ እና ባለሙሉ ሥልጣን አምባሳደር ብናልፍ አንዱአለም በዋሽንግተን ዲሲ የተለያዩ ታላላቅ ስብሰባዎችን፣ መዝናኛዎችን፣ ስፖርታዊ እና ባህላዊ ዝግጅቶችን በማዘጋጀት የሚታወቀው ኢቨንትስ ዲሲ ፕሬዝዳንት እና ዋና ስራ አስፈጻሚ ሚስ ጌትስ እና ሎሎች አመራር አባላት ጋር ውይይት አድርገዋል።

ክቡር አምባሳደሩ ባደረጉት ንግግር የአዲስ አበባ እና የዋሽንግተን ዲሲ ከተሞች ያላቸው እህትማማች ግንኙነት ያለውን ዲፕሎማሲያዊ ግንኙነት ከማጠናከር ባሻገር በሁለቱ ዋና ከተሞች መካከል ያለውን ባህላዊ፣ ኢኮኖሚያዊ እና ተቋማዊ ትብብሮችን የሚያጠናክር መሆኑን ገልጸዋል። ክቡር አምባሳደሩ አክለውም ኢትዮጵያ በቅርቡ በአይነቱ ልዩ የሆነና አለምአቀፍ ደረጃውን የጠበቀ የኮንቬሽን ማዕከል ግንባታ አጠናቃ ስራ ያስጀመረች መሆኑና ይህ እጅግ ዘመናዊ ኮንቬሽን ማዕከል ኢትዮጵያ አለምአቀፍ ኮንቬንሽኖችን፣ ኤግዚቢሺኖችንና ባህላዊ አውደ ርዕዮችን ከማስተናገድ አንጻር ወደ አዲስ ምዕራፍ ያሸጋገራት እመርታ መሆኑን ተናግረዋል።

አያይዘውም ወደ ስራ እየገባ ያለው አዲስ አለምአቀፍ ኮንቬሽን ማዕከል ስኬታማ ከማድረግ አንጻር እንደ ኢቨንትሰ ዲሲ ካሉ በመስኩ ልምድ ካካበቱ ተቋማት ልምድ ልውውጥ ማድረግና በትብብር መስራት ተገቢ መሆኑን ገልጸዋል።

የኢቨንትስ ዲሲ ፕሬዝዳንትም በበኩላቸው ተቋማቸው ያለውን ልምድ ለማካፈል እና በሚፈለገው ሁሉ ለመተባበር ዝግጁ መሆኑን ገልጸዋል።

በሌላ ጉዳይ ወደ ዋሽንግተን ዲሲ ያቀኑት የውጭ ጉዳይ ሚኒስትር ዴኤታ ክቡር አምባሳደር ብርሃኑ ጸጋዬ በዚሁ ውይይት ላይ የተገኙ ሲሆን ኢትዮጵያ የአለምአቀፍ ስብሰባዎች ማዕከል እየሆነች መምጣቷንና በተለይም አዲስ አለምአቀፍ ኮንቬሽን ማዕከል አዲስ ከመሆኑ አንጻር ከኢቨንትስ ዲሲ ልምዶችን ቀምሮ ተግባራዊ ማድረግ አስፈላጊ መሆኑን አጽንኦት ሰጥተዋል።

The Embassy of Ethiopia held discussions with Events DC

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the US H.E Binalf Andualm held a discussion with Ms. Angie M. Gates, President and CEO of Events DC, an organization renowned for hosting major conferences, entertainment, sports, and cultural events in Washington, DC as well as with members of the management team.

In his speech, the Ambassador emphasized that, in addition to enhancing diplomatic relations between the sister cities of Addis Ababa and Washington, DC, the initiative will also strengthen cultural, economic, and institutional cooperation between the two capitals. He added that Ethiopia has recently completed the construction of a state-of-the-art Addis International Convention Center (AICC) that is unique in its design and built to international standards, which is now operational.

In addition, the Ambassador stated that to ensure the success of the newly operational international convention center, it is essential to exchange experiences and collaborate with established institutions in the field, such as Events DC.

The President and CEO of Events DC, for her part, expressed her institution’s readiness to share its experience and collaborate in any way necessary.

While in Washington, DC for a separate engagement, the State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, H.E. Ambassador Berhanu Tsegaye, joined the discussion. He highlighted Ethiopia’s emergence as a hub for international conferences and stressed the value of applying Events DC’s best practices to support the success of the Addis International Convention Center.
