The Ethiopian Civil Service University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ethiopian Foreign Relation Service Institute, graduated 153 Diplomats in Diplomatic and International Relations.

The graduates received their postgraduate diplomas from State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, H.E. Ambassador Birtukan Ayano.

Speaking at the occasion as the guest of honor, Minister of Finance and Economy of Ethiopia, H.E. Ahmed Shede said the university is a great tool to realize the government’s prosperity plan.

The President of the University, Dr. Fikre Desalegn, on his part, said the university is expanding to provide efficient and quality service to Ethiopians.

He also said students from neighboring countries are enrolled in the University to strengthen the spirit of cooperation and ties with neighboring countries.

The Director of the Ethiopian Foreign Relation Service Training Institute, H.E. Ambassador Arega Hailu has presented a speech appreciating the unwavering support of the university in helping the institute to achieve its goal.

The Ethiopian Government and its people have a longstanding reputation for hosting and protecting refugees. The government is working hard to ensure that refugees contribute to peace and prosperity in the Horn of Africa and the world at large upon their return to their countries of origin and to the world they live in. Currently, Ethiopia is home to more than 900,000 refugees, mainly from neighbouring South Sudan, Somalia, Eritrea and Sudan.

In contravention to these facts, reports are emerging from different directions regarding attacks on Eritrean refugees in the Tigray region. To set the record straight, the attack began back in November 2020, as the Tigray People Liberation Front (TPLF) forces targeted two of the refugee camps, namely Shimelba and Hitsats and seriously affected the refugee operation. As a result, the two camps were out of service, and the refugees were scattered to the surroundings. Following the law enforcement operation, we resume regular service provisions to refugees in Mai-aini and Adi-harush camps, located scattered refugees across the Tigray region and in towns and cities across the country including the capital, Addis Ababa. In an effort to consolidate the refugees, the government succeeded in relocating about 9,000 to Mai-aini and Adi-harush, where they could access the required humanitarian services. As part of the protection efforts, a lot has also been done through continuous security checks in the refugee camps to help refugees develop a sense of security. More than 5,200 refugees were registered in Addis Ababa and registration has continued. Furthering the efforts, we managed to transfer several refugees to Berahle refugee camp in the Afar region. Recently, ARRA has requested UNHCR Ethiopia to transport 79 refugees for relocation from Shire to Berahle and working closely to that effect, and also assessing if there is a need for similar arrangements.

In addition, to give a lasting solution to the refugees that left Shimelba and Hitsats, in coordination with UNHCR Ethiopia, a new camp establishment is in progress at North Gondar Zone of Dabat Woreda in a locality called Alem-Wach, though the support that is anticipated from the international community has not been forthcoming.

Despite these encouraging efforts, it is becoming clear that TPLF has rejected the Government’s humanitarian cease-fire and engaging in fresh attacks including in refugee-hosting areas. As a result, Eritrean refugees in Mai-aini and Adi-harush camps feel that they are in imminent danger and in need of immediate solutions in the form of relocation to safer locations, grant to urban status and third-country solutions. To that effect, we have conducted continuous discussions with refugee representatives, the recent being a joint one at the presence of UNHCR on July 13, 2021 in Dabat, at Alem-Wach, a location for the new refugee camp. The Government is working hard to meet their demands through relocation and granting assisted urban status with optimism that their voices will be heard by the international humanitarian actors. Cognizant of these developments, we call upon international community to join efforts to accelerate the relocation process by availing of active and tangible support.

While reaffirming its commitment to the safety of refugees, the Government of Ethiopia calls upon the international community to unanimously condemn the torture and killing of Eritrean refugees by TPLF, and support investigations on the reported incidents of reprisal attacks, abductions, arrests and violence by the same group.

Through the recently declared unilateral humanitarian ceasefire, the Government of Ethiopia has shown to the world its good intentions for the wellbeing of the people of the Tigray Region. The Federal Government believed that the ceasefire would cease hostilities and give chances to farmers to employ the rainy season while the people get humanitarian assistance without alleged impediments. The Government of Ethiopia has paid sacrifices in declaring the ceasefire, and it was a choice made consciously to give peace a last chance.

But true to its form, the TPLF chose violence to peace. It has demonstrated that it cannot survive without engaging in conflict. It has continued to use child soldiers by numbing them through drugs. The Ethiopian Defense Force is obligated to protect these kids.

The ceasefire could not bear desired fruits due to people who could not appreciate the sacrifices that the Government of Ethiopia has paid for the sake of the people of Tigray. Given the irresponsible actions of the TPLF that poses a great danger to the sovereignty of the country, the Federal Government, through mobilizing the people of Ethiopia, is determined to curb this threat. We will facilitate the humanitarian works and defend the country from the joint attacks by its domestic and external enemies.

The TPLF junta was lamenting that the Government of Ethiopia had been using starvation as a weapon of war. However, when the Federal Government declared the unilateral humanitarian ceasefire, the Junta soon forgets the famine accusations and intensified its military activities.

The international community also soon forgets its pronouncements on looming famine in the Tigray region. They said nothing while the Junta recruits children as soldiers. They even tend to point fingers at the Government of Ethiopia even when the Junta makes humanitarian corridors as centers of military conflicts.

Taking all matters that unfold after the declaration of the unilateral humanitarian ceasefire, the Federal Government would like to announce that it is ready to take all the proper action to the wellbeing of Ethiopians and the nation.

The Government calls on the people of Ethiopia to protect itself from influences of unsubstantiated information and the propaganda machine of the Junta, whose remaining power is just fabricating falsified information. The people of Ethiopia should understand that our domestic and external enemies are working in unison to sow dissent and mistrust among us. The Government urges the people of Ethiopia to stand together and continue supporting the ENDF in every way possible and defend the country’s sovereignty and reverse the threat posed by internal and external enemies of the country.

The Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia expresses its disappointment at the resolution by the European Union on the situation of human rights in Tigray adopted at the 47th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council.

It is to be recalled that the Ethiopian Government has agreed to the deployment of the joint investigation team composed of the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission and Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights to inquire into human rights violations allegedly committed during the crisis in Tigray. The joint team has commenced its investigation in May this year and is expected to finalize its work in August 2021. In addition, investigations are being expanded in scope by coordinating the efforts of the military justice system, regional law enforcement authorities and federal investigators and prosecutors.

Since the proposal was put forth by the European Union at the 47th Session of the Human Rights Council, the Government of Ethiopia has been appealing for the withdrawal of the resolution on the premise that first, it is premature, and second, it interferes with and undermines the integrity of the ongoing joint investigations. It has made its case clear before the Council, pleaded for the investigation to run its course and called on the august body to provide the necessary time and space for the investigations to be completed. All its efforts, however, were to no avail and, in its view, there is no moral nor legal ground to justify the untimely adoption of a politically motivated resolution. Constructive engagement, rather than a hasty decision by the Council, would have contributed to expeditiously bring the ongoing efforts to a successful conclusion. For these reasons, Ethiopia rejects this resolution.

Let it be known that those who were involved in committing crimes will be brought to justice and punished to the full extent of the law.

The Government of Ethiopia once again reiterates its commitment to fulfill its national and international human rights obligations.

The trilateral negotiations on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) between Ethiopia, Egypt and Sudan have been underway to reach an outcome on the first filling and annual operation of the GERD, as per the Declaration of Principles.

It is regrettable, however, to witness that the progress of the negotiations has been dragged and politicized. Ethiopia has made its position clear time and again that this is unproductive and bringing the subject matter to the United Nations Security Council was and is unhelpful and far from the mandate of the Council.

It is recognized that the AU-led process is an important vehicle to address each party’s concerns and they have been able to reach understanding on a considerable number of issues through this setting. Furthermore, the process has also revealed the longstanding challenges which have to do with the absence of water treaty and basin-wide mechanism on the Nile.

Ethiopia is committed to bringing the AU-led trilateral process to a successful conclusion aiming to reach a mutually acceptable outcome. It is prepared and ready to work on the phased approach proposed by the Chairperson of the African Union, and, therefore, encourages both Egypt and Sudan to negotiate in good faith to bring the process to fruition.

President of Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed Farmaajo has congratulated Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed for winning the election.

“I warmly congratulate PM Abiy Ahmed on regaining a strong mandate from the people of Ethiopia” President Farmaajo said.

President Farmaajo further reiterated the commitment of Somalia to continue to work with the government of Ethiopia to further strengthen bilateral relations and benefit peoples of the two countries and the wider region. 

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has congratulated Ethiopians on the certified election results announced yesterday by the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia.

Prosperity Party (PP) has won 410 seats in elections held in 436 constituencies out of 547 parliamentary seats. Some seats will remain vacant till elections are held in other parts of the country on upcoming September.

Prime Minister Abiy expressed gratitude to Ethiopians and appreciated the electoral process as Ethiopia’s first attempt at a free, fair and credible vote.

The Premier also thanked leaders and members of political parties that were involved in the election despite various challenges.

He said the 6th General Elections have been unique for the elections were conducted through coordination of an independent electoral board.

The election’s credibility is unprecedented as various actors including the media, civil societies, Human Rights Commission and courts transparently monitored the voting process.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed pledged commitment of his party to serve the public diligently focusing on issues including in building capable institutions, creating national consensus and common vision among the people.

National Electoral Board of Ethiopia is announcing final results of the 6th general elections in the presence of several stakeholders.

Leaders of contending political parties, representatives of the international community and civic society organizations and influential public figures are attending the announcement ceremony.

In her opening remarks, Chairperson of the Electoral Board, Birtukan Mideksa said the election has been fari, transparent, peaceful and successful despite some challenges seen during pre-election and the voting process. 

The election was held at a time when Ethiopia had encountered several challenges from both international and external factors related to security matters and related issues.

A representative of the Association of Civic Societies Organization, Tamrat Kebede has tabled the final observation report of the organizations who monitored the process in several constituencies and polling stations across the country.

He said observers had successfully participated in voter education and attentively attended and monitored the electoral process through physical presence in more than 1,300 constituencies.

The board has announced verified results of election contested for parliamentary seats. Accordingly, in Addis Ababa, Prosperity Party (PP) won 22 parliamentary seats while an independent candidate secured 1 seat out of 23 constituencies.

In Afrar Region which represented by 8 parliamentarians, PP has won 6 seats in the election held at the same number of constituencies. In Amhara Region, PP has ecured 114 parliamentary seats while National Movement of Amhara attained 5 in polls took place 128 constituencies.

In Benshangul Region, PP secured 3 seats from election held in same number of constituencies. PP has won asat1 seat in Dire Dawa out of election in 2 constituencies. In Gambela Region which has 89 seats in parliament, PP has got 3 from election held in same number of constituencies.

In Oromia Region, PP has won 167 seats while independent candidates have claimed 3 in election held in 170 constituencies. PP has won all 19 seats for which voting was held in Sidama region.

Out of 85 constituencies in Southern Nations Nationalities and Peoples Region, PP has won 75 while Ethiopian Citizens for Social Justice Party (EZEMA) secured 4 and Gedio People Democracy Organization Party 2 others.

ላለፈው ግማሽ ክፍለ ዘመናት፣ የሀገራችን ሕዝብ ዲሞክራሲያዊ በሆነ መንገድ በነጻ ፈቃዱ የመረጠው መንግሥት እንዲኖረው ብዙ ሙከራዎች ሲደረጉ ቢቆዩም፤ በተለያዩ ምክንያቶች ሲሰናከሉ ነበር። በሂደቱ አያሌ ተማሪዎችና ወጣቶች፣ ገበሬዎችና የቤት እመቤቶች፣ ምሁራንና መለዮ ለባሾች፣ መላው የሀገራችን ሕዝብ ከፍተኛ ዋጋ ከፍሏል። ካለፈ ልምዳችንና ባልተሳኩ ጉዞዎች ጠባሳ ሰበብ፣ የአሁኑም ምርጫ ዴሞክራሲያዊነቱ ተጠብቆ ባይጠናቀቅስ በሚል ስጋት፣ ያለፉትን ወራት እንደ ሀገር በፍርሃት ተወጥረን መክረማችን ሊካድ አይችልም። ኢትጵያውያን ግን ጨዋ ብቻ ሳይሆኑ አርቆ አሳቢ መሆናቸውን ዛሬም አስመስክረዋል። የተሰጋውን ሳይሆን የሚፈልጉትን ማድረግ እንደሚችሉ በግብር አሳይተዋል። ዝናብና ፀሐይ ሳይገድባቸው፣ በረጃጅም ሰልፎች ሳይሰለቹ፣ እስከ እኩለ ሌሊት ታግሰው ፍላጎታቸውን በካርዳቸው ገልጸዋል። እንደ እኛ እምነትም በዚህ ምርጫ አሸናፊ የሆነው ሕዝባችን ነው። ከሕዝባችን በመቀጠል፣ በብዙ ውሱንነቶች ውስጥ አልፈው በዲሞክራሲና በሕዝብ ድምፅ ላይ ባላቸው ጽኑ እምነት፣ ሀሳብና ፖሊሲያቸውን ለሕዝብ አቅርበው ብርቱ ውድድር ያደረጉ ተፎካካሪ ፓርቲዎች የዴሞክራሲያዊ ሂደቱ ድል አድራጊዎች ናቸው።

ይህንን ምርጫ ልዩና ታሪካዊ የሚያደርጉት ብዙ ጉዳዮች አሉ። በታሪካችን ለመጀመሪያ ጊዜ ከተጽዕኖዎች በተላቀቀ የምርጫ ቦርድ ዳኝነት ያደረግነው ምርጫ መሆኑ አንደኛው ነው። የምርጫ ቦርድ ዳኝነት እንዲሳካ ደግሞ ቁጥራቸው የበዙ የግልና የመንግሥት ሚዲያዎች፣ የሲቪል ተቋማት፣ የሰብአዊ መብት ኮሚሽን፣ ፍርድ ቤቶችና ሌሎችም ተቋማት በግልጽ የተከታተሉት መሆኑ ሂደቱን ከመቼም ጊዜ በላይ ተአማኒና ዲሞክራሲያዊነቱ የተጠበቀ ምርጫ ያደርገዋል። ምርጫው ዴሞክራሲን የመትከል ግባችንን አንድ እርምጃ ያስኬደ በመሆኑ፣ ፓርቲያችን ከምንም በላይ ቀዳሚ ድሉ አድርጎ ይቆጥረዋል። በታሪካዊው ምርጫ ተሳታፊ መሆን በራሱ የሚፈጥረው ደስታ እንዳለ ሆኖ፣ ፓርቲያችን በሕዝብ ይሁንታ አግኝቶ ሀገር ለማስተዳደር መመረጡ አስደስቶናል። በውጤቱም ከአሸናፊነት ይልቅ ኃላፊነት፣ ከድል አድራጊነት ይልቅ ታላቅ የሆነ ሀገራዊ አደራ እንዲያድርብን አድርጎናል።

መንግሥት የሚመሠረተው በሕዝብ በተመረጡ ፓርቲዎች ቢሆንም ሀገርን መምራትና ማስተዳደር ግን ለተመረጡ ፓርቲዎችና መሪዎች ብቻ የሚተው አይደለም። ተፎካካሪ ፓርቲዎችና መሪዎቻቸውም እስከሚቀጥለው ምርጫ በመንግስት አስተዳድርና ሕዝብን በማገልገል ሂደት ውስጥ ሚናቸው ሰፊ ሊሆን እንደሚገባ ለማስታወስ እወዳለሁ። በቀጣይ ወራት ብልጽግና በሚመሠርተው መንግሥት ውስጥ በአስፈጻሚው አካልም ሆነ በፍርድ ቤቶች፣ በሌሎችም የፌደራልና የክልል ተቋማት ላይ ንቁ ተሳትፎ እንዲኖራቸው፣ በዘንድሮው ምርጫ በኃላፊነትና በብቃት የተወዳደሩ የሕዝብ አለኝቶችን ከዚህ በፊት ካደረግነው በእጅጉ ከፍ ባለና አዎንታዊ ለውጥ በሚፈጥር መልኩ እንደምናካትታቸው ለመግለጽ እወዳለሁ። በተጨማሪም እስከሚቀጥለው ምርጫ የበለጠ ተጠናክረውና ተቋማዊ አቅማቸው ደርጅቶ ብርቱ ተወዳዳሪ እንዲሆኑ አስፈላጊውን ድጋፍ ሁሉ ከማድረግ ወደ ኋላ አንልም። በዚህ ምርጫ የፈጠርነው አሸናፊና ተሸናፊን ሳይሆን፣ ጠያቂና ተጠያቂ ያላበት የዲሞክራሲ ሥርዓትን ነው። በዚህ ደግሞ ያሸነፉት በምርጫው የተሳተፉት ሁሉም አካላት ናቸው።

ውድ የኢትዮጵያ ልጆች፣

በምርጫ ካርዳችሁ ስትመርጡን በዕቅድና በፖሊሲ የያዝናቸውን የብልጽግና ግቦች እንድናሳካ የድፍረትና የጥንካሬ ስንቅ እንደሚያቀብለን ሁሉ፣ እኛና እናንተን ያስተሳሰረው ቃል ኪዳን ተጠብቆ እንዲቆይ ነገሮች አልጋ በአልጋ እንደማይሆኑን እንገነዘባለን። ቢሆንም ግን ከመቼውም ጊዜ በላይ ትከሻችንን አስፍተን፣ ኢትዮጵያን ከሚወዱ አካላት ጋር ሁሉ በትብብር ዐቅማችን አማጥጠን ለመሥራት ቆርጠን እንደተነሣን ሳበስራችሁ ደስ እያለኝ ነው። በቀጣይ ዓመታት ሀገራችን በእውነትም በልጆቿ ጥረት ታፍራና ተከብራ ከፍ የምትልበት ዘመን ይሆናል። ይህ እንዲሳካ የሐሳብና የሞራል ስንቅ እንደምታቀብሉን፣ መንገድ ስንስት እንደምትመልሱን፣ ስናጠፋም እንደምታርሙን ተስፋ በማድረግ ነው።

በሀገራችን ሁለንተናዊ ብልጽግና እውን እንዲሆን በቀጣዩ አምስት ዓመት ፈር ጠራጊ እንሆናለን የምንለው፣ በዙሪያችን ባሉና ብልጽግና በሚቀላጠፍባቸው አራት ማዕዘኖች መሐል ቆመን ነው። የመጀመሪያው ማዕዘናችን የመሠረተ ልማት ግንባታ ሲሆን፥ ሀገራችን እንድትበለጽግ በኢኮኖሚውም ሆነ በማኅበራዊና ፖለቲካ ዘርፎች ዘላቂ መሠረት የሚሆኑ፣ በፍጥነት የሚጠናቀቁ፣ ጥራታቸው የተጠበቁ፣ ከብክነት ነጻ የሆኑ እና የምንፈጥራቸውን ተቋማት መሸከም የሚችሉ ትውልድ ተሻጋሪ መሠረተ ልማቶችን መገንባታችንን እንቀጥላለን። ጥቂትም ቢሆኑ ባለፉት 3 ዓመታት አመርቂ ሥራዎችን ለመሥራታችን ምስክሮቹ እናንተው ናችሁ።

ሁለተኛው ማዕዘናችን የተቋማት ግንባታ ሲሆን፣ በጥቂት ግለሰቦችና ነጠላ ተቋማት ላይ ከማተኮር ባለፈ ሀገራችንን በጽኑ መሠረት ላይ የሚያቆሙ ጠንካራ ተቋማት ያስፈልጉናል። ዘመን ተሻጋሪ ሥርዓት ለማጽናት የሚስችሉ ገለልተኛና ሁሉንም ኢትዮጵያዊ ዜጋ የሚያገለግሉ ተቋማትን መገንባት ላይ ትኩረት ይደረጋል። ይኼ ማሕቀፍ ከፌደራል እስከ ክልል የሚገኙ ተቋማትን የሚያካትት ይሆናል።

በሦስተኛ ደረጃ እንደ ሀገር የሚያስተሳስሩን የጋራ አመለካከቶችና የጋራ ትርክቶች ላይ ትኩረት ሰጥተን ልንሠራባቸው ይገባል። እርስ በእርስ የሚቃረኑና የሚጠፋፉ ትርክቶች ምን ያህል ለጠላቶቻችን ተመችቷቸው እኛን ደካማ እንዳደረገን ያሳለፍናቸው ዓመታት ሕያው ምስክሮች ናቸው። ስለዚህ ክፍተቶቻችንን በሚደፍን መልኩ ብቻ ሳይሆን እንደ ሀገር አጠንክረው በሚያቆሙን እሴቶች ላይ የተመሰረተ፣ ገዢና ሁላችንንም አሸናፊ የሚያደርግ ትርክት ለመገንባት ጠንክረን እንሠራለን።

በአራተኛ ደረጃ የሞራል ልዕልናና ግብረገባዊነት ተመጣጣኝ ትኩረት አግኝተው እስካልተሠራባቸው ድረስ በሀገራችን ኃላፊነት የሚሰማቸው ዜጎች ቁጥር እየቀነሰ፣ በተቃራኒው ኢ-ሞራላዊ ድርጊቶች እየተስፋፉ እንዲመጡ በር ይከፍታል። ይኼንን ችግር የመቅረፍ ኃላፊነት መንግሥትና መንግስታዊ ያልሆኑ ተቋማት ላይ ብቻ የሚጣል ሳይሆን፣ ከግልና ከቤተሰብ ጀምሮ የሚሠራ ሥራ ነው። ሁሉም አካላት ተረባርቦ ሀገርና ትውልዱን እያቆሸሹ ያሉ መጥፎ ተግባሮችን ጠርጎ ሊጥላቸው ይገባል። በቀጣይ ዓመታት በሞራል ንጽህና የተገነቡ ተቋማትንና መሪዎችን አንጥረን የምናወጣበት እንዲሆን ተስፋ አደርጋለሁ።

ውድ የሀገሬ ዜጎች፣

ባለፉት ሦስት ዓመታት በከፍተኛ ጥንቃቄ የቀረጽነው የሀገር በቀል ኢኮኖሚ ማሻሻያ ለተግባራዊነቱ በጋራ ከተጋን ያለ ጥርጥር ቀጣዩቹ ዓመታት ለሀገራችን ብልጽግና እንደ ወሳኝ የመታጠፊያ ኩርባ ይሆናል። ዕምቅ ዐቅሞቻችን ምንድን ናቸው? ምን ዓይነት የመበልጸግ ዕድል እጃችን ላይ አለ? ምን ብናደርግ ኢኮኖሚያችን መዋቅራዊ ለውጥ ያመጣል? የሚሉትን በሚገባ ፈትሸን ያረቀቅነው ዕቅድ ነው።

በሀገራችን ምርትና ምርታማነትን ማሳደግ ለነገ የማይባል ጉዳይ ነው። በፍጥነት የምግብ ፍላጎታችንን በማሟላት ለአንዴና ለመጨረሻ ጊዜ ከውጭ የምግብ ድጎማ መላቀቅ አለብን። ምግብ ለእኛ ቅንጦት መሆን አይገባም። ጠግቦ መብላት ቅንጦት የሆነበት ሕዝባችንን መርጦ መብላት እንዲጀምር ለማድረግ ቆርጠን መነሳት አለብን። በብዝኃ ዕጽዋትና በብዝኃ እንስሳት የምትታወቅ ሀገራችን የእንስሳት ተዋጽዖና ፍራፍሬዎች ለገበታችን ከቅንጦትነት ወደ አዘቦትነት መለወጥ አለባቸው። ዶሮና ዕንቁላል፣ ወተትና ቅቤ፣ ተርፎን ለገበያ የምናቀርባቸው እንጂ ለዓመት በዓል አይተናቸው የሚሰወሩ የሩቅ እንግዳ መሆናቸው ሊያከትም ይገባል።

እዚህ ጋር አንድ መታወቅ ያለበት ሀቅ አለ። መንግስትና ሕዝብ እጅና ጓንት ሆነው እስካልሠሩ ድረስ ሕልማችን ይሳካል ማለት ዘበት ነው። በቀጣይ 5 ዓመታት ተባብረን በተለይ በግብርናው ዘርፍ ምርታማነት ለማሳደግ ጠንክረን መስራት አለብን። ከዚህ ቀደም ጀምረናቸው ውጤት እያመጡ ያሉ ተግባራት አሉ። የበጋ ሰብሎችና ፍራፍሬዎች ላይ ለውጥ ለማምጣት ከተጀመሩ አነስተኛ መስኖዎች ባለፈ፣ ዝናብ አጠርነት ለመዋጋት በቴክኖሎጂ አማካኝነት ደመናን ወደ ዝናብ የመቀየር ልምምዳችን እያደገ ይገኛል። በቅርቡም ምርትን የሚያሳድጉ ቴክኖሎጂዎችን ተጠቅመን ችግሮቻችንን ወደ ዕድል መቀየር ጀምረናል።

አየር ንብረታችንን የሚያስተካክለውና የብዝኃ ዕጽዋትና የብዝኃ እንስሳት ሀብታችንን በእጅጉ ያሳድጋል ተብሎ ተስፋ የተጣለበት የአረንጓዴ ዐሻራ መርሐ ግብራችን እንዲሁ ተጠቃሽ ነው። በቁጥር ግንባር ቀደም ያደረጉን የቀንድ ከብቶቻችን ከመቀንጨር ወጥተው ምርታማ እንዲሆኑ ያደርጋል። ወደየጎረቤት ሀገሩ የሸሹ የዱር አራዊትም ተመልሰው፣ ከታሪካዊና ባህላዊ መስህቦች ጋር የተዋደደ ተፈጥሮአዊ መስህብ በመሆን የቱሪስት ፍስትን እንዲጨምርና ኢኮኖሚያችን መስፈንጠር እንዲችል መደላድል ይሆናል ብዬ አምናለሁ።

የሀገራችን ሕዝብ ሆይ፤

ባለፉት ጥቂት ዓመታት ትኩረታችንን ሰቅዘው ከያዙት ጉዳዮች መካከል ሌላኛው የሕዳሴ ግድብን የተመለከተ ጉዳይ ነው። የዴሞክራሲ ጥያቄን አንድ ምዕራፍ ለማሳደግ የምርጫችን መሳካት ወሳኝ እንደነበረው ሁሉ፣ የኤሌክትሪክ ኃይል አቅርቦት ችግራችንን ለመቅረፍና ለዘርፈ ብዙ ኢኮኖሚያዊ እንቅስቃሴዎች መቀላጠፍ ጉልህ አስተዋጽዖ ከሚያበረክቱ ፕሮጀክቶቻችን መካከል አንዱና ወሳኙ የሕዳሴ ግድብ ግንባታችን እንደሆነ ይታወቃል።

የሕዳሴ ግድብ አጀንዳ ለእኛ ለኢትዮጵያውያን ከግድብም፣ ከኤሌክትሪክ ኃይል ምንጭነትም በላይ ነው። ከኢኮኖሚያዊ ፋይዳው ባለፈ ዳግም የመነሣታችን ተምሳሌት ነው። በራስ ዐቅም የመቆም፣ በራስ ፍላጎት የመመራት፣ የሉዓላዊነታችን ምልክት፤ የሀገራዊ አንድነታችን ገመድ ነው። በሕዳሴ ጉዳይ ብዙ አይተናል፣ ብዙ ተፈትነንበታል። በራሳችን ዐቅም መቆማችን የሚያስደነግጣቸው፣ በፍላጎታችን መመራት መጀመራችን የሚቆጫቸው ብዙ ጋሬጣዎችን ሲጥሉብን ነበር። “ሚስማር አናቱን ሲመቱት ይበልጥ ይጠብቃል” እንዲሉ ሆኖ፤ በዓባይ ጉዳይ በገፉን ቁጥር እየቆምን፣ በተጫኑን ቁጥር እየበረታን፣ ባዋከቡን ቁጥር ይበልጥ እየጸናን አሁን የደረስንበት ቦታ ላይ ቆመናል። በቅርቡ ሁለተኛውን ዙር የውኃ ሙሌት አድርገን፣ በምርጫው ስኬት የተደሰትነውን ያህል፣ በሕዳሴያችንም ሐሴት እንደምናደርግ አልጠራጠርም።

በሕዳሴ ግድብ ላይ ፍትሐዊ ተጠቃሚነታችን እንዲጠበቅልን እንጂ መቼም ቢሆን ሌሎች ሀገራትን የመጉዳት ፍላጎት ኖሮን አያውቅም። አሁንም ለታችኛው ተፋሰስ ሀገራት ደግመን ማረጋገጥ የምንፈልገው ሐቅ፣ የዓባይ ወንዝ እንደሚያስተሳስራቸው ወንድም ሕዝቦች በእናንተ ላይ ምንም ዓይነት አሉታዊ ተጽዕኖ የመፍጠር ፍላጎት የለንም። ዛሬም ሆነ ወደፊት በጋራ ተጠቃሚነት ዙሪያ ለመመካከር በራችን ክፍት ነው። እኛንም ሆነ እናንተን ነጥሎ ተጎጂ ወይም ተጠቃሚ በሚያደርጉ አካሄዶች ላይ እንድንሳተፍ ኢትዮጵያዊ ማንነታችን አይፈቅም።

ከጎረቤት ሀገራት ጋር ያለንም ዲፕሎማሲያዊ ግንኙነት ከዚህ ኢትዮጵያዊ ማንነታችን የሚቀዳ ነው። በጋራ ተጠቃሚነት ዙሪያ ለመሥራት ሁሌም ዝግጁዎች ነን። የአፍሪካ ቀንድ ቀጣና ሰላሙ እንዲጠበቅ፣ የጋራ ኢኮኖሚያዊና ፖለቲካዊ ማኅበረሰብ እንዲፈጠር፣ በትብብርና በመግባባት እንድናድግ ኢትዮጵያ ትፈልጋለች፤ ጥሪም ታቀርባለች።

የተከበራችሁ ተፎካካሪ ፓርቲዎች፣

የሀገራችን መጻኢ ጊዜ ብሩህ ለማድረግ በተገቢው መወጣት ከሚገቡን የቤት ሥራዎች መካከል አንዱና ዋነኛው ፖለቲካዊ ጉዳዮቻችንን በሠለጠነ መንገድ መምራት ነው። ከላይ በመግቢያዬ እንደገለጽኩት ይኼ ኃላፊነት በመንግሥትና በተመረጠው ፓርቲ ላይ ብቻ የሚጣል አይደለም፤ አንድ አካል ልሥራው ብሎ ቢነሣ እንኳን በአግባቡ የሚወጣው ጉዳይ እንዳልሆነ በተደጋጋሚ አይተናል። እንኳንስ የሠለጠነ የፖለቲካ ሥርዓት መገንባትን የሚያህል ነገር ይቅርና፣ አንድ ዙር ምርጫን ዴሞክራሲያዊ አድርጎ ለማጠነቀቅ ብዙ አካላት መረባረብ እንዳለባቸው ካለፍናቸው ምርጫዎች በሚገባ ተረድተናል። የዘንድሮውንም ምርጫ ካለ እናንተ ድጋፍና ትብብር ፍትሐዊና ዴሞራሲያዊ በሆነ መንገድ ማከናወን ባልተቻለ ነበር።

በቀጣይም ዓመታት የዴሞክራሲያዊ ሥርዓት ግንባታ ሂደታችን መሬት እንዲረግጥ የተለመደ ትብብራችሁና በየምዕራፉ ያላሰለሰ ድጋፋችሁ እንደሚያሻን ከወዲሁ ለመግለጽ እወዳለሁ። በሀገራችን የብልጽግና ጉዞ ውስጥ የሚኖራችሁ ድርሻ ወሳኝ እንደሆነ እናምናለን።

የፖለቲካ ልዩነቶቻችን እንዳሉ ሆነው፣ ለሀገርና ለሕዝባችን በሚጠቅሙ ማናቸውም የፖለቲካና ኢኮኖሚያዊ አጀንዳዎች ላይ ከእናንተ ጋር በመግባባት ለመሥራት ዝግጁዎች ነን።

ምርጫውን ስኬታማ ያደረጋችሁ ውድ የተቋማት አመራሮችና ሠራተኞች፣

ይህ ምርጫ የተሳካ እንዲሆን የምርጫ ቦርድ አመራሮችና ሠራተኞች፣ እንዲሁም የምርጫ አስፈጻሚዎችና ታዛቢዎች ሁሉ ከደም መሥዋዕትነት በመለስ ያለ ከፍተኛ ዋጋ ከፍላችኋል። ከግራ ከቀኝ የሚመጡትን ጫናዎች ተቋቁማችሁ በውጣ ውረዶች ሳትበገሩ ለሀገራችን የማይደበዝዝ የዴሞክራሲ አሻራ አትማችኋል፤ በዚህም ታሪክ ስማችሁን አድምቆ ይጽፈዋል።

የጸጥታ አካላት፤ ምርጫው ሰላማዊ እንደሆን ጉልህ ሚና ተጫውታችኋል፤ እናንተ ዕንቅልፍ አጥታችሁ ሥጋቶቻችን ሁሉ እንደ ጉም እንዲተንኑ ስላደረጋችሁ ክብር ይገባችኋል። በተመሳሳይ፣ ፈጣንና ሚዛናዊ መረጃን ወደ ሕዝቡ በማድረስ በኩል የግልና የመንግስት ሚዲያዎች፤ እንዲሁም አጭር የጽሑፍ መልዕልት ስርጭት በኩል የኢትዮጵያ ቴሌኮሙኒኬሽን ሠራተኞች፣ ላበረከታችሁት አስተዋጽዖ ኢትዮጵያ ታመሰግናችኋለች።

ውድ የፓርቲያችን አመራሮችና አባላት፣

በዚህ ምርጫ ሕዝቡ ያስተላለፈውን መልእክት በሚገባ መረዳት የወደፊቱን መንገዳችንን ቀና እንደሚያደርገው እናምናለን። ሕዝቡ በአብላጫ ድምጽ እኛን የመረጠው ፓርቲያችን እንከኖች ስለሌሉበት አይደለም፤ ከነስሕቶቻችንን ዕድል ሰጠን እንጂ ድል አላደረግንም። ሕዝብ የመረጠን በአንድ በኩል ያጠፋናቸውን እንድናርም፣ በሌላ በኩል መልካም ጅማሮዎቻችንን እንድናስቀጥል፣ ከሀገር ግንባታ አንጻር በወሳኝ ደረጃ ላይ ያሉ የለውጥ ሥራዎችን በቀጣይ ጊዜያት ፈጽመን እንድናሰረክብ ነው። ሕዝባችን ጉድለቶቻችንን በሚገባ ያውቃል። ከስርቆት ዓመል ያልተላቀቁ፣ ለሰው ነፍስ ግድ የሌላቸው፣ ሕግን የማያከብሩ፣ ኃላፊነታቸውን የማይወጡ አመራሮች በመካከላችን መኖራቸውን ጠንቅቆ ያውቃል። ድምፁን ሲሰጠን ታረሙ፣ ውስጣችሁን አጥሩ እያለን ጭምር ነው። እኛም በተግባር ሆነን ማሳየት አለብን። ይኼን ማድረግ ካልቻልን ከአምስት ዓመት በኋላ በካርዱ እንደሚቀጣን እናውቃለን።

በአሁኑ ምርጫ መምረጥ ያልቻላሁ ወገኖቻችን በሙሉ፣

በልዩ ልዩ የጸጥታና የደኅንነት ምክንያቶች፣ እንዲሁም በሎጅስቲክና በተለያዩ ውሱንነቶች ምርጫው በተያዘለት ክፍለ ጊዜ መሠረት ከተቀረው ሕዝብ ጋር አብራቸሁ ድምፅ ባለመስጠታችሁ ታላቅ የሆነ ቅሬታ ፈጥሮብናል። ይኼ የሆነው ባልተጠበቁ ምክንያቶች እንደሆነ ግንዛቤ ትወስዳላችሁ የሚል ግምት አለን። ሁኔታዎች ተስተካክለው የምርጫ ቦርድ በወሰነው ቀን ምርጫው እንደሚደረግ እምነቴ ነው።

ትግራይን በተመለከተ የትግራይ ሕዝብ በሚፈልገው መንገድ ከተደራራቢ ችግር የሚወጣበትን፣ ተያያዥ ሀገራዊ ችግሮች የሚፈቱበትን እና ሰላምና ደኅንነት የሚረጋገጥበትን የመፍትሔ አቅጣጫ እንከተላለን።

በመጨረሻም፣ ከለውጡ ጊዜ አንሥቶ እስከ ዛሬ ድረስ ስለ ሀገር አንድነትና ስለ ሕዝባችን ተጠቃሚነት ቀና ቀናውን በማሰብ በመንገዳችን ሁሉ ድጋፍ ሲያደርጉልን የነበሩ አካላትን ከልብ ሳላመሰግን አላልፍም። ኢትዮጵያ በታሪክ ለውጥ ላይ ናት። በዚህ የለውጥ ሂደት ተሳፍረን የተሻለች ሀገር እንገነባለን። በዚህ ምርጫ ኢትዮጵያችን አሸናፊ ስለሆነች በድጋሚ ለመግለጽ እወዳለሁ። ቀጣይ ዘመናችንን ብሩህ ያድርግልን፤ ሁላችንም እንኳን ደስ አለን።

The Ambassador of Germany to Ethiopia, Stephan Auer, addressing the announcement of the verified electoral result of the sixth general elections, said the electoral process was transparent and inclusive in several aspects.

Ambassador Stephan Auer appreciated mobilization of the people and voter turnout during the whole voting process and related activities.

The participation of both domestic and international observers in the voting process was commendable, he stated, adding that the ballot counting has also been conducted in proper manner.

He expressed optimism that elections will also be possible in the Tigray region stressing the role of democratic elections democratization process in Ethiopia.

The ambassador called up on parties to respect the unilateral ceasefire in Tigray and protect human rights in the region. He further described Ethiopia a beautiful and potential country on a better democratization process.
