Secretary of State Antony Blinken, announced more than $331 million in new humanitarian assistance for Ethiopia.

US Secretary of State, today announced more than $331 million in new humanitarian assistance for Ethiopia for the year 2023 through the Department of State and the U.S. Agency for International Development.
According to a statement by State Department, the funding will provide life-saving support to those displaced and affected by conflict, drought, and food insecurity in Ethiopia.


In his official working visit to Ethiopia, Mr. Blinken held candid discussions with H.E PM Abiy Ahmed and FM & DPM H.E Demeke Mekonnen.
His visit to Ethiopia, the announced humanitarian support and the ongoing constructive engagements testify the keen interest of the two countries to boost their longstanding cooperation.
