US Secretary of State Antony Blinken departed Addis Ababa after concluding a fruitful visit.

His visit to Ethiopia was a significant step toward rebuilding & revitalizing relations between Ethiopia & the USA says Amb. Meles Alem, Spokesperson for The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, during a biweekly news briefing.
Secretary Blinken also expressed his satisfaction of holding ‘’productive talks focused on consolidating peace and advancing Ethiopia’s democracy, security, and prosperity.”


He reiterated the USA’s continued commitment to support the critical steps that Ethiopians need to take for recovery and reconciliation.
In his one day long trip to Ethiopia, Secretary Blinken met and held productive conversations with H.E PM Abiy Ahmed Ali, FM and DPM H.E Demeke Mekonnen Hassen, and other high ranking officials and rights groups.
