PM Inaugurates Entoto Natural Park (October 10, 2020)

Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed this morning inaugurated the Entoto Natural Park, which is located north of Addis Ababa.

The Prime Minister on the occasion expressed his gratitude to those who have contributed for the construction of the park, which is part of the Beautifying Sheger Project.

Stating that cooperation is essential to transform Ethiopia, he called on investors to support the “Dine for Nation” program just as they did during the 5 million birr dinner organized to raise funds for the Sheger Project.

“Dine for Nation’ is a resource mobilization program aims to raise 3 billion birr for development projects in Gorgora, Koysha and Wonchi in Amhara, SNNP and Oromia regional states.

The park, which is equipped with various facilities, including sport centers, restaurants, coffee shops, horseback riding, bike ride and soccer filed, has created job opportunities for many people.

A statue has been erected in the park to honour healthcare workers fighting the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
